New School Year (Academic) – Secondary
Course overview
This half day course explores academic arrangements for the school year, including the assignment of students to classes and producing student timetables. This academic course complements the pastoral course. Before the new school year commences, both the academic and pastoral process must be completed in SIMS.
NOTE: We have recently updated our course names to better support our customers in finding the course they need, the course content has not changed only the name has been updated. This course was previously titled Preparing for a New School Year (Academic) - Secondary.

Staff, for example Data Managers, Administrative Assistants, Pastoral Managers, with responsibility for preparing SIMS for the new academic year who have a basic knowledge of SIMS. An understanding of the school curriculum structures and policy would be helpful.
