1. Getting Ready
In this step you’ll need to run a few checks, to make sure you have the right access, your server meets the minimum requirements and you have the latest version of SIMS installed. Watch the video.
2. Validating Your School’s Credentials
In this step you’ll need to make sure you have the right credentials and access. You’ll need to be a System Manager and have your SIMS ID admin account details to hand, then you can run the DeX Configuration Wizard. Watch the video.
3. Preparing SIMS Service Manager
In this step you’ll need to make sure that your SIMS Service Manager is prepared to synchronise your data with SIMS Next Gen. We’ll show you how to upgrade to the latest version ready for SIMS Next Gen. Watch the video.
4. Inviting Staff
In this step you’ll need to give your staff access to SIMS Next Gen, and run through any needed housekeeping – making sure the right people have access and that your system is secure. Watch the video.
5. Supporting Staff With Registration
In this step we’ll give you some useful tips to help staff activate their accounts. You’ll be able to check their invite status and resend invites if they’ve expired. Watch the video.
